I believe that it is always the simple option that delivers the best results. To this end I think that leaders therefore have only three main functions in any organisation or company.
To set and measure standards of performance by finding keeping the best possible staff that can support the vision you have set for the organisation. All three of these functions are simplified and will be turned into long term sustainable success if you ensure that you fill the organisation with the right calibre of people. It then becomes obvious that becoming a powerful recruiter and retainer of good quality staff is one of the most important roles any great leader must possess. The success or failure of any leader or organization is dependent on the people within the organisation,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], thus filling your teams with the right people must be approached with finesse and deep thought.
Look at any recruiting drive as an opportunity to discover people that are an ideal match for any position within your organization. The best way to start is to first create a very clear picture of what the perfect person for any position would look like. Carefully define their characteristics,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], skills, knowledge and most importantly what attitude they must have. You can never know if someone is suitable to fill any position unless you have created this crystal clear picture of what you are actually looking for.
You must clearly define the following areas:
•What outcomes is this new staff member responsible to achieve? What skills,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], knowledge or specific attributes will they need to achieve these outcomes?
•What measurement criterion will you apply to consistently measure their performance? They must have a clear vision of what is required of them and they must be able to measure their performance as often as possible to see if they are on track,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
•What is the current culture within the organization and what attitude and attributes must the new person possess to fit in with the current people.
The best way to start this process is to first write a very detailed description of the outcomes you want this person to achieve. The more detailed the description of the job requirements, the easier it will be to identify the right person to fill that position. This allows you to get clarity on exactly what you need from this new person and allows you to define how you will measure the performance of the person that will fill that new position. This detailed description is in effect a clear outline or road map for the new person; they will have a clearly defined framework about their job requirements and your expectations. Once you are clear about exactly what this person will need to do,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], it is wise to then define the type of attributes,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], knowledge and skill this person must possesses to carry out these tasks every day. This definition must carefully consider the current people within the organization. The new person must have the right attitude and mind-set, to fit in culturally with all the existing people within the organization.
It is rather obvious that unless you know exactly what you are looking for in the new person,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], it will be impossible to find the right person. It is always far easier to invest time into clearly defining what you want from the new person and getting exactly the type of person that you need,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], than it is trying to retrain and mould the wrong person after you have hired them. When you fill your teams with the right people that possess all the right attributes to meet the needs of the organization,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], everything just works and everyone does what they need to do to promote success within the organization. It is far wiser to recruit the right people in the first place than it is to try to change the wrong person after you have hired them.
When you have a clearly defined picture in your mind about exactly what you are looking for in any new employee you are equipped to start searching for them and when they show up,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], you will be better equipped to know they are the right person for the job.

You wake up and shuffle off to the bathroom to find a quarter lying on the sink. You wonder how it got there. You put it in your pocket and forget all about it until lunchtime,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
You see,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the Universe is always sending you signs and vibrations. All the time, and when you become aware and ask for signs, they come right to you. It is just that you have to leave 'how' the sign comes to you to the Universe just like when you are applying the Law of Attraction. When receiving a sign of encouragement or a sign to take action, you have to think about what a particular sign means to you. The above scenario about quarters means a lot to us. We see quarters as 'a big change' coming, whereas someone else may see quarters as 'small money' in their life,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], or maybe quarters remind them of a grandpa who gave them quarters every time he saw them.
Wake up each morning aware of signs and you will see them all through the day. It is up to you to interpret what it is that you are seeing and feeling. Signs will help lead the way to the life that it is that you want through the Universe and the Law of Attraction,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
You may ask,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], "What do I need signs for? I just want the manifestation of what I want." Well, think about it. You have to align with the vibration of what you want. That is how the Universe will send back to you in vibration but if your vibration has chaotic or past thoughts connected within the want, then the Universe is sending back to you what you are emitting out and this can take time if there is a messed up jumble of vibrations on your behalf.
Ask for signs. Tell the Universe that you trust it with what you want and ask for a tap on the shoulder to let you know that it is still there. Even though you know the Universe is there,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], it's nice to have a tap on the shoulder. You know that your spouse loves you but isn't it nice to hear the words sometimes? That is like wanting a sign from the Universe. There are two different kinds of signs. There are inspirational signs and signs to act upon and both are just as important.
So you didn't get another quarter but they fell out of your pocket to remind you "Here's the sign,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]!" Then another reminder when you needed exactly two quarters for your groceries. The Universe keeps knocking but you have to answer the door,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]! Once you 'get' what the sign is then the Universe doesn't have to continue with that particular vibration unless you want it to.
You meet a business associate for lunch at the local café. As you sit and wait for him to get there, you notice something shiny under the table. It's another quarter. You begin to take notice. Is the Universe leaving you a sign? You decide to tell the Universe to leave you another quarter if it is a sign. So you wait for another sign through out the day but no more quarters. "Fine Universe. I guess you weren't calling."
Inspirational signs are getting a tap on the shoulder from the Universe saying, "I am working on your want and I love you." Signs to act upon are when someone leaves a newspaper on the booth you are sitting at with something circled on it. You look at it and it is an answer or a possible path to what you want. The Universe is leaving you a sign to act upon.
You have forgotten that the quarters are in your favorite jeans. When you wash your jeans,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the quarters fall out onto the floor and you stick them in your pocket and you don't think another thing about them until you are at the grocery store and you come up fifty cents short for your total bill and then you remember the two quarters in your pocket. You mumble,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], "Thanks Universe." It is all in how you look at this scenario as to what the Universe is trying to tell you.
Figuring out what the particular object or song means to you is part of the incredible process of seeing signs from the Universe. The Universe gave two quarters, two different signs,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and you asked for another but you asked specifically for a particular vibration of an object. You see,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], leaving the 'how' the sign comes isn't up to you. This is limiting and we all know that the Law of Attraction with the Universe isn't limited unless you put limits on it. It would have been best to just ask for another sign of some sort instead of another quarter specifically because the Universe is always responding to your call in the way that it knows best for you.

I know it is a lot easier to answer questions about what you love to do in the summer than the whys or what’s about your personal discontent within yourself,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
Summer is here, YIPEE! This time of the year give many of us the chance to do many of the activities we love and bring us joy and excitement. Gardening,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], biking,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], roller blading, camping,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], fishing,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], races,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], walks, no matter what the summer activity we all get excited about our passions. What is it that you are excited and passionate about for your summer?
1. Check in with your feelings when you weigh yourself, become aware of how you interact in your daily activities with family and friends and during your daily routine, also the choices you make around food.
Think about the last time you felt really great about yourself. Had you stepped on the scale and number dropped? How did you feel that day? How did you interact with others, work, food, and your environment through out your day? Did you reward yourself?
3. Are you willing to let yourself tune into your own wisdom to guide you back to love; back to being what you know is the true you inside and let it flourish for yourself and others to see. During a clients recent coaching session she shared she wanted to become the person she new she was inside, how about you?
Love is the deepest root and the most meaningful tool in regulating how we interact with ourselves and in this world. If we don’t love ourselves first not matter where we are in our fitness and weight loss goals we end up viewing the world through our own skewed lenses.

Shopping for rates may seem like the best approach when obtaining a mortgage but as with most important buying decisions, it may not always be the only way to shop. You certainly want to benefit from a low rate to keep your monthly payments as affordable as possible. But considering value is also a key component. Let’s look at closing costs and fees. Many lenders will quote an incredible low rate but will add in fees and closing costs that could impact your cash at the time of closing. Accurate information is another aspect to review.

If you are refinancing, using the title company that handled your loan the last time may lead to a significant savings.

Then, as you build up equity in your home, keep track of it and don’t forget to notify the lender that you wish to stop the payments when your equity hits the 20 percent mark. The value of the project was not huge in any case, less than $100.
I later learned that he quit his job to focus on the business full-time. Knowing it should make a huge difference in the quality and timeliness of his work, I wanted to try and help out again. I referred a couple of people to him and that’s when things went south. The business owner told the person I referred to him that he did work for me, and that I never paid!
I had a similar situation occur with another company I approached about a project I needed done. They insisted on doing the work for free because they wanted the exposure that working with me would bring them. However,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], when it came to deadlines,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], they told me they needed to prioritize paying clients. I never asked them to do it for free. I was always more than happy to pay; I just needed the work to be done.
A third instance occurred when someone who referred me to a very big client asked one day if she could “pick my brain” for a couple of hours because she wanted to do what I do in her industry. I am not sharing my experiences as a negative. Rather, I want you to learn three very important lessons about the implications of free:
1. When you give away your service for free, you diminish your own power. You give your power – the power you have created in your business – away and allow someone to devalue what you are willing to contribute.
2. When you allow someone to offer their services to you for free, you do the same thing to them. You devalue what they are worth.
3. When your time is free – the other person’s time will always be more important and more valuable than your time.
This is not to say that you should never do something for someone out of the kindness of your heart,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]; just know that there is a right way and a wrong way. You should set up guidelines and boundaries in how you do it.
Recently, I offered to help someone out and these were the conditions: I told them I would give them some of my time and they could pay me when they got their business up and running. I did NOT say I would do it for free. I also told them that I had expectations around how they needed to perform and that if they did not take our work seriously and do what they needed to, that I would pull out of our agreement.
Because I set up a structure like this, the individual took things seriously. People have a desire to do well and be successful because they want to be able to pay their debt. They also understand that I am taking their progress seriously and I am investing in them. This empowers them to be great.
If you want to give back to the community follow these tips:
1. Do it without expecting anything in return.
2. Do it within a finite amount of time. For example,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], block a certain number of hours a month to give back.
3. Create a program around giving back and offer to schedule people through this program on a certain day of each month.
4,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Set expectations and guidelines around what you will and won’t do as part of your giving back program.
5. Be clear with respect to how much access people have to you and your time. Creating structure in the beginning makes things work better for both parties in the end.
This is not to advocate that you should not charge for your services. You should and you should charge what you are worth. What this is advocating is, if giving back is part of your business, structure it well and take it seriously so others take it seriously too.
When you are charging for your services,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], don’t sell yourself short. Charge what you’re worth AND be sure and perform at the same standard by which you determine that worth.

An Epiphany at Work!
My friend and her boss were not communicating well with each other. Both she and her boss were high enough in their careers to know how they should and shouldn’t communicate. But regardless,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a communication breakdown occurred between two people who should not have had one occur. Even though they were meeting on a weekly basis, they were really “communicating without communicating”.
Depending upon where you're from, or what generation you are part of,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], your view of what a leader should and should not be will vary. There are those who say changing times call for changes in leadership styles. While that may be true for some areas of leadership, many basic characteristics of leadership still hold true today as they did back with previous generations.

Unfortunately, she chose to leave that firm just after 7 months. Why? There were many reasons as it turns out. For the first three to four months, things appeared to be going very well. At the end of the fourth month,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], however,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], she discovered that her boss was not happy with the way things were going. What made it more of a surprise was that she and her boss were having weekly one-on-ones since she started her new role. During these weekly sessions, the verbal feedback was a positive one. To add additional interest to this story, she discovered how her boss felt not from her boss but while meeting with an HR representative (that she met with on a periodic basis to discuss team development goals). Her boss never communicated to her that there were any issues or concerns during their one-on-one weekly meetings. She confronted her boss at their next one on one and heard a similar tone as before. Yes, there were some things that her boss was not happy about. They decided to discuss this further during the meeting and eventually an understanding was apparently reached. Three months later, my friend chose to leave rather than continue working at that firm because all she heard from the HR representative was that her boss was still not happy with any of her work. She said she never got this message from her boss. When I asked her why she decided to leave, she told me that it simply wasn’t a good fit.
